24 Elders Group is made up of 2 talented worshippers that God is raising in this generation to pour out His spirit of praise and worship through music. They are singers and songwriters that strive to connect the hearts of men to the presence of God. The name was inspired by the 24 elders in the book of Revelation in the Bible.

The group, made up of Emmanuel Tabena and Chiza Musenge, was formed in 2006 in Kampala, Uganda and moved to Nairobi, Kenya in 2008 to follow the voice of God. They are originally from Democratic Republic of Congo and met up in Kampala while leading the praise and worship team at their local church.   They immediately connected on a musical and spiritual level and have been together ever since- 9 years now.

24 Elders has been privileged to curtain raise in concerts for Uche Agu and L’Or Mbongo in their Nairobi shows. They have also collaborated on many singles with Pastors Marvelous Arunda of Winners Chapel, Nairobi (currently residing in USA), Emmanuel Ushindi and Tumaini Akilimali, who are all re-known within East Africa, especially in Tanzania.

The year 2013 proved to be their most successful year where they performed in the Saba Saba Trade fair, the biggest music festival in Tanzania and during the the Msama Promotions (Tanzania) event in 2013. They sang alongside Rose Muhando (Tanzania), Solomon Mukubwa(Kenya), Ephraim Sekeleti (Zambia) and Solly Sipho (South Africa). 24 Elders were nominated for Mwafaka Awards 2011 in the category of Group of the year.

They have recently released their latest album “Kilicho Chako”, which is Swahili for “What God has given you belongs to you” in May 2014. In particular, the single No Go Beg, released in January 2013, has been a major hit in East Africa, and in parts of Belgium.

The 24 Elders have great plans for the future, and intend for their music to be heard in and outside of Africa in the next 5 years. They would like to perform alongside great world re-known worshippers such as Sonnie Badu, Uche Agu, William McDowell, Israel Houghton, Sinach, Donnie McClurkin, Cece Winans, Hillsong, Michael W. Smith, Don Moen, Mike Kalambay, Benjamin Dube, Midnight Crew Nigeria, Jonathan Butler, Marvin Sapp and other gospel ministers.

Emmanuel holds a teaching diploma from a college in DRC and is currently a pastor in training at his church – Miracle Life Assembly- where he also serves as the praise and worship leader. Chiza Musenge is a trained electric technician but works as a full time gospel music minister. He also leads the praise and worship team in his local assembly – Shekinah Ministry. The 24 Elders passion for serving God and reaching the unsaved has led them to serve in a separate capacity as outreach missionaries with Word Alive Ministries ( based in Texas, USA). They also regularly pour out their heart by training groups in smaller churches about good praise and worship music.

The future for the 24 Elders group is bright; they consider the sky to be the starting point in reaching this generation through worship.
