KORA AWARDS TO BE BROADCAST LIVE IN SOUTH AFRICA... [more]

The KORA Awards undoubtedly constitute a tremendous method of promotion for African Artists. KORA 2001 was freely distributed live, to an accumulated audience of 397 million television viewers. Our aim this year is to reach a viewership of over 500 million, for which live broadcast to America will make a great contribution.

The Kora 2002 Music Awards event will be moving from Sun City to the prestigious Gallagher Estate in Midrand near Johannesburg.

Kora Management has taken this decision to make the event more accessible to Kora's guests, many of whom are from the province of Gauteng in South Africa.

Kora 2002 Timetable

Finalist selection will take place from the 16th until 19th of August, 2002
African Designers competition will take place on Friday the 1st of November 2002.
Award ceremony will take place on Saturday the 2nd of November 2002
